Journal Prompt (Russell Ong)

A book that I have found suspenseful was "The Revenge Of Seven".
In the book,I think the most suspenseful part is," Before we can do anything, a mechanical grinding emanates from the ship." The three different characters were in an enemy base and if a sound was heard from an enemy ship, it probably means that the three characters have been spotted and are about to be attacked by the enemy.

Journal prompt (Isabella Goh)

A book that I have read is The School of Good and Evil.  The two protaganists expected themselves to go to opposite schools; Agatha to the School of Evil, and Sophie to the School of Good. But when both girls are kidnapped, they find that they're both in schools neither of them expected to be in. I find that the most suspenseful part.

Journal Prompt (Chng Zhi Qiang)

The book that i found most interesting is Animal Farm. The most suspenseful part is "Jones and his men suddenly found themselves being butted and kicked from all sides. The situation was out of control. They had never seen animals behaving like this before, and this sudden uprising of creatures whom they were used to trashing and maltreating just as they were chose, frightened them almost out of their wits."

Journal Prompt (Xin Ning)

A movie that I have watched : Into the Woods

It is a twist on a few choice stories and exploring the consequences of the characters’ wishes and quests. The classic tales of Cinderella, Little Red Riding Hood, Jack and the Beanstalk, and Rapunzel —all tied together by an original story involving a baker and his wife, their wish to begin a family and their interaction with the witch who has put a curse on them.

I think that the most suspenseful part is when the baker and his wife need to find some items in the wood in three day time so that they could removed the spell on them. Cinderella, Little red riding hood, Jack, and Rapunzel were also on their way into the woods. And thus, the baker and his wife needed to get some things from them.

Journal Prompt(Eugene Long)

The book that I find most interesting is Russian Roulette. The most suspenseful part is when the main character, Yassen Gregrovich, has stabbed a wealthy man while trying to steal from his house. The man is quite strong and manages to both survive the attack and capture Yassen.

Journal Prompt

The book that I find the most interesting part is 'The Hobbit'.
The most suspenseful paragraph is when Bilbo Baggins falls into Gollum's(Smeagol) was there where he found the The One Ring. There were also many riddles which would very hard for a normal person to answer. The One Ring was an important part both here and The lord of the Rings. It led to many poems to be written in the book series including one well known among many readers:
One Ring to rule them all, One Ring to find them,
One Ring to bring them all, and in the darkness bind them,

The entire poem is:
Three Rings for the Elven-kings under the sky,
Seven for the Dwarf-lords in their halls of stone,
Nine for Mortal Men doomed to die,
One for the Dark Lord on his dark throne
In the Land of Mordor where the Shadows lie.
One Ring to rule them all, One Ring to find them,
One Ring to bring them all, and in the darkness bind them,
In the Land of Mordor where the Shadows lie

(sorry for the late reply I was very sick.I will present the letter on monday)

Journal Prompt

The title of the book is called: The Fault In Our Stars
I think the most suspenseful part of this book is when the main character, Hazel, is about to lose her boyfriend, Augustus, due to cancer. The doctors try everything that they can do to save Augustus and Hazel is worried and heartbroken. With this climax, I think that it allowed me as well as other readers to continue reading the book.

Movie : Percy Jackson and the Lightning Thief.

The most suspenseful part was when the Lightning Thief and Percy Jackson had to fight for the Zeus's master bolt. If the Lightning Thief were to win the fight and own the Zeus's master bolt, the world would be in trouble as the Lightning Thief would destroy the world using the Zeus's master bolt. By adding the consequence, it makes the audience more curious and allow them to anticipate the fight more.

Suspense Paragraph (Phyllys Neo)

It come closer, still growling. If staring into its eyes is a sign of aggression, what's a sign of submission? My breathes are loud but steady. I sink to my knees. The last thing I want to do is lie down on the ground in front of the dog-making its teeth level with my face-but it's the best option I have. I stretch my legs out behind me and lean on my elbows. The dog creeps closer, and closer, until I feel its warm breath on my face. My arms are shaking. It barks in my ear, and clench my teeth to keep from screaming. Something rough and wet touches my check. The dog's growling stop, and when I lift my head to look at it again, it is panting. It licked my face. I frown and sit on my heels. The dog props its paws up on my knees and licks my chin. I cringe, wiping the drool from my skin, and laugh.

Story: The Stepsister
The best suspense part that i like is when the author found out that it was her biological sister that has been killing the pet, dying her blue and stealing her boyfriend and not her stepsister that she always hated and suspected.

Suspense paragraph

"As long as we are together," she said. She heard Nico and Hazel screaming for help and saw the sunlight far far above- maybe the last she would ever see. Then Percy let go of his tiny ledge, as he and Annabeth fell into endless darkness.....

suspense paragraph [Clarise Ang]

i was in the woods. Lost. All alone, dark and cold.i decided to settle down for the night all i had was a quarter filled water bottle. sleeping on the hard and uncomfortable ground was bad enough. ''AWOOOOOOOOO'' i heard a howl. i got startled by the noise and had goose bumps.i closed my eyes and rolled up into ball, trying to avoid seeing what was trying to make the sound. After which, the howling had seemed to stop. so i unrolled from my ball and opened my eyes......

The book is Star Wars: Choices of one
I think that the most suspenseful part of the book was when the bridge of the destroyer was filled with poison gas, as the bridge was supposed to be the most secure part of the destroyer.

Suspense paragraph

The smog was starting to clear off from the bridge, as Commander Johnson was starting to come to his senses. Amongst the crew of the bridge, he was the only one who had snapped on a gas mask in time when the smog came. Except for him, all the men in the bridge had been left dead, killed by a mysterious assassin. There seemed to be no obvious cause of their death when he examined them - no gunshot or knife wounds were found. Amongst those dead was the visiting General who lay dying on the sleek metal deck. The air seemed less hazy now. Why is it only now, he thought, that the ventilation system has cleared the smog? Kneeling on the ground, he was still trying to contemplate that question when he felt the cold steel of the barrel of a gun against his head. The only weapon that was in his line of sight was the dropped weapons of the fallen guards, who were supposed to be prepared for this kind of situation. The commander broke into a sprint towards the weapons on the floor. Although there was a silencer on the pistol, there was still a loud crack which emmitted from the pistol, and the commander dropped to the floor, dead.

Suspense Paragraph (Wei Jun)

Henry saw a creepy shadow following him as he strolled along the back alley for a shortcut. “What’s that?” he will often ask himself when he saw the shadow.Henry looked around, he saw red liquid splattered on the dirty walls of the silent alley. Just then, he saw the shadow with a knife. “AHHH!” Henry ran as fast as a cheetah to escape. Just as he thought he had time to rest, a heard a voice, “ Oh, hello Henry,” it was his uncle. Henry gave a sigh of relief as he assumed the shadow was his uncle. However, Henry did not see the shadow behind slowly fading away.

Book: Percy Jackson And The Last Olympian

Author: Rick Riordan

This book is a very captivating book with many scenes that leave you in suspense. The most suspenseful scene of them all however is a scene where Percy(The son of poseidon) is battling Kronos(the titan of time) and realises that his friend Luke(The son of Hermes) was possessed by Luke and his soul was dead but physically he was alive(due to the bathe in the river styx which gave him the power of Achilles). The only was to defeat Kronos was to kill Luke but Percy never wanted to risk that. he also had a great prophecy to bear that said "The hero's soul, cursed blade shall reap". But everything takes a big turn as Percy discovers he is NOT the hero...

Suspense paragraph [Ryan Ng]

The buildings cast sinister shadows that play tricks on your eyes. Around every corner, it feels as though something evil is waiting to grab me.As I walk back home alone in the dark alley. The walls ran with slime which covered the  long forgotten graffiti brickwork. Suddenly,a creepy sound make my spin shivered.Out of  curiosity I decided to turn around. An enormous creature was behind......

Suspense Paragraph, Yar Xin Ning

Amazing orange hues coloured the sky as the sun set in the west. Stars glistened in the sky as both my parents leaved the house, leaving me alone at home. As my parents had left about an hour, A shadow of a man, was looking through the translucent window. Strange thoughts run wildly in my mind as I heard the suspicious man trying to open the main door...

Suspense Paragraph (Loh Li Kai 19)

I was in the room. I groped around, looking for the switch. "Over here?" Nothing. "Here?" Nothing either. Finally, after what seemed like hours of wandering around in the dark, I found it. "Ah!" I sighed with relief. Just then, I froze. That was when I saw it. A thousand thoughts ran through my mind. I stepped back. It moved forward. For every step I moved backward, it moved forward two steps. Then, after what seemed like hours of terror, it lunged.

Suspense Paragraph

I was alone at home doing my homework preparing for my Level Test. This was the first time i am being left alone at home while my parents went for a wedding dinner. I usually tag along with my parents, but this time as my exams are just round the corner, I decided to stay at home and revise. As i was in the mist of revision, I suddenly heard some dripping sounds from the kitchen. I thought I was just my imagination, but out of the sudden blue, the he dripping sound stopped but next came was the water flowing out of the tap heavily...

Paragraph about a suspenseful movie or book.JAWS

Jaws was a very suspenseful movie i had previously watched at my friends house. The most suspenseful part was the part where a man was trying to swim and reach the ship.It kept me and my friends on the edge of our seats anticipating the shark eating the man the whole scene lasted about 2 minutes.

Suspense paragraph (Isabella Goh)

I always had problems sleeping, so my parents had bought me a dog last year. Sleeping with him in my room helped me calm down and relax, so I let him sleep by my bed every night, Whenever I switched off the lights, I let my arm hang over my bed, and the dog licked it comfortingly, to let me know he was there. I did this every night, and I never failed to feel the dog lick my hand. One night, when my parents had left me along in the house, I went to the bthroom to investigate a strange dripping sound. On the mirror, written in blood, someone had written a message.

"Humans can lick too, my dear."

Suspense Paragraph

"A moment after he says it, I hear the whup-whup-whup of at least three helicopters bearing down on us. If I squint, I can see their outlines approaching in the night sky. And then there are the blue flashing lights coming from the housing development's only access road; the lights are attached to a caravan of black SUVs, all of them speeding in our direction."
-Quote from "The Revenge of Seven".

Suspense Paragraph

Should I go down there? Was the only thought on my mind, at the time. Soon I found out that I shouldn’t even be here. But it was to late… My mother told me not to go to close to …

Suspense paragraph

The waves crashed against the dark rocks. I felt around frantically trying to grab something. Pebbles and seaweed tripped and grabbed me. The wind whistled a low mystical tune into my ears. A cold sensation tickled my spine. I thought suddenly of sharks swimming around me, perhaps hearing me or scenting me . I could have drowned. I could feel it. I felt as if the black water was pulling me down. Down into the murky depths below.

Help! Help!” I yelled. Then I saw something or someone. Perhaps mom and dad. I swam hard. They were there, so close yet so far. It felt like days had past in the minutes it took to swim. I’d made it at last. But it wasn’t mom and dad. Just two pieces of driftwood floating idly.
